Kvinfo
We have a long and solid history with KVINFO and we are involved with many of their digital efforts.
VERK has been responsible for moving most of KVINFOs sites over to a Drupal platform and we have also created several campaign related site for them. Right now we are creating an online tool to make their work with the Mentor Network run smoother and we are creating a web based version of the encyclopaedia, “The History of Nordic Women’s Literature”, consisting of five volumes and app. 1000 pages.

Kvinfo is the Danish Centre for information on gender, equality, and ethnicity. The institution’s roots are based on Scandinavia’s largest library of research-material for the subjects. But today, Kvinfo has grown to be much more than this.
When we first met Kvinfo, they we’re contemplating a migration of their 12 subsites to a single content management system. Our solution was an incremental process, where each subsite was migrated – but only when it needed to be improved anyway. This allowed us to use Kvinfo’s own resources in the migration, involving the organisation in the process.
We started by giving the entire site a new universal grid, so content from one subsite could easily be reused on other parts of the site. Rather than going through a massive redesign in one, radical step, we redesigned only the main menu and header, which gave all sites the same look.
